realms c25 full review cameras, price, design, performance and battery life

After launching the C12 and C15 with similar processors and similar features last year, Realme decided to widen the gap between the following two models in 2021. The C25 (which followed the C15) received significant processor improvements in the form of the MediaTek Helio G70 (instead of the older Helio G35) but at the same time, reduced the camera count from four to three.

Price of Realme C25 in India

Realme C25 costs Rs. 9,999 separate 4GB RAM + 64GB of different storage, while a high-end alternative with 128GB of storage is priced at Rs. 10,999. Both of these varieties are found in the new finish of Watery Blue and Watery Gray.

Design of Realme C25

Like the C15, the Realme went with a plastic unibody with the C25. Its size remains very similar to that of the Realme C15 ₹ 8,989 (Review) and so does the complete design with a new font with the text and the bright Realme logo on the back.

The camera layout looks similar, but with the C15's quad-camera set with three cameras, the LED flash fits inside the module. Also, in the background is a fingerprint reader, quick to turn on the phone.

The three-card SIM card sits on the left side of the phone, while the volume rocker and power / unlock buttons are on the right.

Realme C25 performance and battery life

The 6.5-inch HD + LCD panel (720 x 1600 pixels) shines and is healthy not only inside but also outside. The text was legible, the images were visible, and the camera's mirror was easy to see even on sunny afternoons. Interrupting visibility outside the display glass, which I found to be easy to hit, and takes fingerprints within minutes of use.

HD + resolution works in line with battery life. Also, many video streaming apps including Netflix will only support SD streaming in Realme C25 because it is only guaranteed by Widevine L3. Stream content did not look sharp when expanded beyond that 6.5-inch display.

Given the MediaTek Helio G70 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM, I wasn't expecting much in terms of performance, but the C25 has just moved well on bench tests and gaming sessions. The phone received 214,116 on AnTuTu, as well as 386 and 1,278 in Geekbench's single-core and multi-core tests.

While normal games work well, I also tried playing Call of Duty: Mobile. With graphics set to Low and rate set to Medium (default settings) this fast FPS theme was almost played out. However, I have noticed that there are instances where the composition and scene took an extra moment to load while playing this game. Asphalt 9: Legends had a few hiccups in the default graphics setting but they ran smoothly with the quality set in Low. Given that this phone launches games in such low-resolution graphics settings, it's no surprise that it's warmed up during play.

Playing games and streaming movies on these low settings did not have much impact on battery life. Ten minutes of Frontline competitions in Call of Duty: The cell phone consumes less than 3 percent of the 6,000mAh battery power. The Realme C25 can easily stay a day and a half for a certain fee for certain games and two good days outdoors. Our HD video loop test lasted 27 hours and 2 minutes for a single charge. Charging the phone using an installed 18W adapter has seen it reach 19 percent in 30 minutes and 37 percent per hour. It took three hours and 7 minutes to reach 100 percent, which is quite a long time.

Realme C25 cameras

Compared to the Realme C15, the new C25 loses a wide 8-megapixel rear camera and low-resolution filter cameras. Instead you get three cameras in total: a 13-megapixel f / 2.2 wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel f / 2.4 depth sensor. That means the C25 has a triple camera set instead of the single quad-camera that had the C15. The selfie camera sits at 8 megapixels with f / 2.0 aperture. The camera interface is no different from what we have seen in other Realme smartphones in the past and it is easy to use, most of the filters and toggles are available with a second set of tap settings only.

Coming to image quality, the daytime photos came out really healthy and colorful, and showed a lot of detail in dark places. The HDR system kicks in a lot, which means a strong distance is often overlooked, and I rarely ended up with an over-highlighted image.

However, shooting shots using a rear-facing camera led to certain levels of abnormality, which obviously did not represent the real situation. I've tried turning off AI group recognition in camera settings, but it doesn't seem to help in any way. Portrait mode is also turned off slightly, often revealing the title and background, although the discovery of the edge was still respectable.

With a smartphone that costs less than Rs. 10,000, I was impressed with the 2X digital zoom which also provides high quality data. Switch to 5X however the results are not very useful.
